About The Position
Zurich is currently seeking a Claims Professional to join our Latent & Environmental team in Zurich's New York City, Schaumburg, IL, or Parsippany, NJ offices. The Environmental Claims team is dedicated to helping our customers mitigate pollution, toxic tort, latent injury, class action, construction, and product liability losses. As a member of our team, you will manage a claims caseload from assignment through resolution, with moderate direction from your team manager and Claims executives. This role involves providing technical service on claims of moderate to high exposure and complexity, including litigated claim files under environmental coverage policies. This position requires significant policy interpretation and coverage analysis, retention and management of counsel and other vendors, collaboration with internal and external contacts, including underwriters, customers, and brokers, negotiation and claim resolution, and management of all communications and reporting associated with the life of a claim. An occasional request for business travel may be needed, making flexibility an important aspect of this role.
