About The Position
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is seeking an Environmental Analysis and Review Specialist to join its Environmental team in the Southeast Region, headquartered in Waukesha, WI. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the development, implementation, and documentation of environmental processes in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the Wisconsin Environmental Policy Act (WEPA). The successful candidate will provide research, analysis, consultation, and coordination services to WisDOT staff and management regarding environmental laws and regulations. In this role, the Environmental Analysis and Review Specialist will assist regional project teams in identifying and completing necessary environmental tasks for various projects. Responsibilities include analyzing, evaluating, and documenting the environmental impacts of WisDOT plans, programs, and projects. The position also involves maintaining the environmental program's document inventory system, which is essential for managing and tracking WisDOT environmental documents. Additionally, the specialist will contribute to updating environmental chapters of the Facilities Development Manual and other relevant WisDOT policy and guidance documents.
