About The Position

The Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Analyst at Whirlpool Corporation is responsible for supporting safety and health compliance efforts at the Clyde, Ohio manufacturing site. This role involves providing technical guidance on regulatory programs, leading safety initiatives, and ensuring that EHS practices are integrated into the World Class Manufacturing (WCM) framework. The EHS Analyst will work closely with operations personnel to enhance safety and environmental performance, while also maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) experience working in a manufacturing setting

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in EHS, Occupational Health, Engineering or Science
  • Experience in a large, complex plant environment
  • Experience in Word Class Manufacturing methodology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven knowledge of OSHA CFR 1910 and 1926, NFPA, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance and direction to site EHS technical personnel & environmental operations
  • Apply technical knowledge to improve site safety and environmental performance
  • Lead Safety World Class Manufacturing (WCM) pillar core and floor teams
  • Collaborate across all pillars to ensure EHS is embedded and foundational to WCM
  • Lead and execute Safety kaizens & WCM projects as Project/ Technical Team Leader
  • Implement programs, practices and procedures designed to reduce safety and environmental risks
  • Implement health, safety and environmental compliance self-assessment and support ongoing compliance activities for the operation
  • Execute permit activities and regulatory compliance reporting for the operation, as required
  • Liaison with regulatory authorities regarding site permitting, reporting and inspections, as required
  • Lead and execute projects to reduce overall safety impact from site operations
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable regulations and legislation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
