The Bellevue office of Perkins Coie LLP is seeking a junior associate to join its Environment, Energy & Resources group. The position will focus on regulatory matters and litigation for electric, natural gas, and water utilities, transportation, marine pilots, and other highly regulated clients. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and advocate with a demonstrated interest in regulated industries and public law. This role offers immediate responsibility on complex disputes and regulatory litigation including matters before state public utility commissions, state courts, and potentially the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). You will work closely with partners and clients on high‑impact proceedings involving rate cases, clean energy and renewable resource acquisitions, regulatory compliance and enforcement, and related civil and commercial litigation. This position may include preparing comments on proposed rules and legislation. Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: regulated energy operations, administrative and civil litigation, and regulatory compliance. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials and references, as well as one to two years of litigation experience.
