About The Position

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: Evenings/Nights (United States of America) Position Details: Monday through Friday, 9 am to 3:30 pm, No call requirements. Job Summary: Performs functions dealing with OR terminal clean, sweeping, mopping, use of strong floor chemicals, scrubbing, technical skills in removing Regulated Medical Waste including packaging of the waste to meet various regulatory standards for transportation and storage (DHEC, EPA and OSHA). Complete standardized cleaning process for OR suite, patient rooms, offices, and other ancillary areas. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or manager to include but not limited to any support services tasks or processes.

Requirements

• Basic reading comprehension skills required; GED or High School Diploma preferred.
• Hospital experience in terminal cleaning in a surgical application or equivalent field preferred.
• Knowledge of relevant codes (DHEC, TJC, OSHA, EPA, LIFE SAFETY CODES) required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well with all levels of supervision, patients, and healthcare workers.
• Ability to recognize equipment malfunctions and report them accurately.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.

Responsibilities
