About The Position

NABRICO Marine Products, is searching for an entry welder that will be based in our Caruthersville, MO plant. In this role, you’ll apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches using manual, auto welding, and/or semi-automatic welding equipment. NABRICO Marine Products a leading manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. NABRICO Marine Products manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges, that are used to transport a variety of products including grain, coal, and aggregates. Arcosa Marine Products also manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes. It is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers used primarily on grain barges. Additionally, Arcosa Marine Products provides a full line of deck hardware to the marine industry, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities. What you’ll do: Perform spot welds up to 3”. Be capable of performing simple fitter and welder functions, with close supervision. Must meet the requirements of the job. Perform general housekeeping/clean-up in assigned work area. Perform other similar or related job as assigned. Must be able to perform welding work while wearing all required personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a filtering face piece and/or tight-fitting respirator. May require working above ground (15 ft or more) . Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects, comfortable with heights. May require working in narrow or confined workspaces for extended periods of time. May require extensive kneeling, bending, walking and/or standing for long periods of time.

Requirements

Previous manufacturing experience - at least a year.
Previous welding experience
Be able to qualify as Welder and perform some cutting torch training.
Be capable of welding 3” stringer beads in all positions.
Must be able to perform welding work while wearing all required personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a filtering face piece and/or tight-fitting respirator.
An essential function of this position is performing welding, and all activities associated with welding, while at all times possessing the physical qualifications necessary to perform these tasks.
