About The Position

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking skilled and motivated candidates for Entry to Mid-level Software Developers to support on-site at NUWCDIVNPT in Newport, RI. Position requires US Citizenship and an active Secret-level security clearance with the US Government. Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with team to understand, create, and/or modify applications using technologies such as C++ (Linux), Java, MATLAB, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL. Willingness to be actively involved in all aspects of software development life cycle from requirements definition and maintenance to testing, troubleshooting, and customer support in addition to software development responsibilities. Ability to design and implement within a team environment with minimal direction. Communicate regularly with team lead and customer to ensure effective work partnerships. Who are we? Requirements

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technology field and zero (0) to five (5) years of experience OR a BS engineering degree and two (2) to six (6) years of software development experience in a professional environment.
Comfortable working full-time in a secure lab environment.
Desire to be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Able to work and thrive in both individual and team-based development environments.
Experience with development under Linux-based systems preferably with C++.
Familiar with Linux shell scripting.
Position requires US Citizenship and an active Secret-level security clearance with the US Government.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Docker.
Experience with Continuous Integration using GitLab or Jenkins.
Familiar with common IDE's such as VS Code and Eclipse.
Familiar with JIRA and Confluence.
Experience with production life cycle support.
Experience with JavaScript, Java, HTML, and CSS.
Familiar with object-oriented software development practices.
Familiar with agile and/or traditional software development life cycle (SDLC) approaches.
