About The Position

VHB's Watertown, MA office dynamic team of 20+ Water Resource professionals is looking for an entry-level Water Resources Engineer to work with our existing water resource group and support our work in the areas of stormwater management and design, hydrology and hydraulics analysis, culvert and bridge design, and resiliency efforts, among others. Our work supports public and private clients with resilient and sustainable solutions to their water resources challenges using innovative approaches. Work would begin in the spring/summer 2026 and consist of a hybrid work setting.

  • Ability to perform field work and travel to project sites
  • FE desired

Nice To Haves

  • Strong computer skills with AutoCAD and GIS experience desired
  • Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis desired
  • FE desired

Responsibilities

  • Work within a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of environmental, land development, transportation, and water resources projects
  • Conduct a wide array of water resources related studies and analysis including Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of stormwater systems, riverine and coastal hydraulics, analysis and design of conveyance and treatment systems, and floodplain analysis
  • Analyze and design structural stormwater treatment measures
  • Prepare reports for stormwater and hydraulic analyses and designs
  • Conduct data collection and field work
