We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented early career professional to join our Wastewater department in the Boston, MA office. In this role as an Entry-Level Wastewater Engineer , you will collaborate with a team of technical specialists to deliver and design diverse water/wastewater projects. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with industry tools, participate in field assessments and site visits, and collaborate on multidisciplinary projects that help communities improve water distribution and wastewater collection. This is a hybrid role , offering the best of both worlds—collaborate in-office with a high-performing team and enjoy the flexibility of working remotely part of the week. Requirements

  • 0-3 years experience preferred, internship experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • EIT certification preferred
  • Experience with or strong interest in wastewater design preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D & Microsoft Office Suite preferred, GIS experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel within New England for field work as needed

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design of water distribution and wastewater collection systems
  • Support infiltration and inflow studies
  • Conduct fieldwork and site inspections for wastewater projects
  • Support the preparation of reports, technical documents, and permit applications
  • Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS for design and analysis
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving efforts
  • Collaborate with internal multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders as needed
