The Entry Level Transition Custodial Manager will provide onsite leadership and direction for the day-to-day custodial operations, including the selection, direction, and training of all associates on multiple shifts. This position has supervisory responsibility for more than 30 employees. The primary focus is to meet and exceed client expectations and to achieve all corporate goals and objectives. This job description is intended to identify the essential functions and requirements of the position, and other job-related responsibilities and tasks may be assigned.

  • Act as an ambassador for company values and philosophy, implementing and maintaining necessary programs to achieve Corporate Mission and Goals.
  • Provide leadership and communication skills necessary to build a strong team of trained associates.
  • Manage custodial programs in an academic environment, fulfilling day-to-day individual and team responsibilities.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and respond to client feedback.
  • Re-adjust priorities in dynamic environments.
  • Maintain professionalism when dealing with employees and customers.
  • Make on-site decisions regarding custodial operations.
  • Coordinate assistance for building emergencies during and after working hours.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels for cleaning and project work.
  • Inspect buildings and work performed to ensure cleanliness.
  • Use the QA Program for remedial training of assigned employees.
  • Ensure employees follow safe work procedures.
  • Organize, schedule, assign, and perform daily work routines.
  • Plan and perform major cleaning operations, supervising and following up on assigned work projects.
  • Schedule weekend work as needed.
  • Train new custodians.
  • Prepare and maintain Employee Hire Packets and Termination Packets.
  • Maintain Worker's Compensation reports and files.
  • Tabulate payroll hours and submit payroll to corporate office.
  • Monitor responsibilities of custodial Supervisor(s).
  • Must be open to relocation within 18 months.
