About The Position

AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Traffic Engineer (Hybrid) based in Middleton, Wisconsin to join our traffic engineering team. The position involves conducting traffic engineering analysis under the supervision of an experienced engineer, using computer software to solve basic traffic engineering and transportation planning problems, conducting fieldwork such as traffic counts and site visits, and preparing technical reports, presentations, maps, websites, or other documentation to support findings and decision-making. The role requires performing work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule and working collaboratively with other engineers to solve transportation challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer-in-Training certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Relevant co-op/internship experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Experience with traffic engineering or transportation planning projects for WisDOT, municipalities, and/or other transportation agencies.
  • Experience with software such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil3D, Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, IHSDM or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with the HCM, HSM, WisDOT FDM, and/or WisTransPortal system.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities
