We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Entry Level Traffic Engineer to join our growing team in Dayton or Cleveland Ohio . This is a full-time opportunity designed for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is excited to launch their engineering career in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 1-3 years experience.
  • Experience with Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, SIDRA, TransModeler, VISSIM, AutoCAD/MicroStation/Geopak/Open Roads Designer and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual and Congestion Management Guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • EIT Certification
  • Experience with Travel Demand Modeling Software (TransCAD, CUBE), ArcGIS, SignCAD.

  • Assist in the preparation of traffic engineering designs and plans for transportation projects.
  • Stay up to date on transportation engineering guidelines, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance in project designs.
  • Ability to work in a team setting collaboratively with group of other traffic and transportation/civil engineers.
  • Ability to identify project issues and facilitate resolution.
  • Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
  • Ability to react quickly and calmly to high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
  • Occasionally visit work sites, monitoring project progress and reporting findings.
  • Ability to meet all safety requirements if/when visiting a work site.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
