About The Position

Javelin Utility Services Inc. is searching for Entry Level Traffic Control/Construction Flaggers to join us in our Springfield, Oregon office. We are looking for individuals who are hard-working, reliable, good communicator, and dedicated to working in a team environment to ensure team safety for construction sites. Flaggers are the leaders of safety at our construction sites and it’s imperative that the candidate be able to multi-task, use large direction signs, and use hand signals to stop and direct traffic. Flaggers might also have to answer questions about detours. Using radios, flaggers communicate with other flaggers positioned at different locations along the construction site, coordinating two-way traffic on single-lane roads. They might also contact team members of the construction crew to alert them to any traffic concerns that might impact their work or safety. Our flaggers set up traffic cones and signs at and around road construction sites. Flaggers also retrieve all cones and signs at the end of the workday as directed.
