Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (or currently completing final semester).
  • 0-1 years of experience in transit & rail, or related electrical engineering tasks.
  • Demonstrated interest in transit and railway engineering or traction power systems, through prior internship or relevant coursework.
  • A fundamental understanding of railway system design and operations from an electrical engineering perspective.
  • Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a collaborative engineering environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or equivalent modeling software.
  • Applied experience in traction power systems, including concepts in electrical distribution, railway electrification, and power system efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of traction power systems for railway and transit infrastructure.
  • Perform electrical engineering calculations such as load analysis, power distribution, and energy efficiency evaluations.
  • Assist in creating detailed design layouts and technical drawings using engineering software.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure system compatibility and integration.
  • Participate in field surveys, site assessments, and support the preparation of reports, technical documents, and specifications.
