About The Position

Basic Qualifications Key Responsibilities: Design, development, and implement cost-effective testing methods. Generate technical engineering products using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools. Execute test approaches and document system verification throughout the engineering development lifecycle. Isolate and document issues and defects. Setup and conduct functional, environmental, operational, and/or performance tests on hardware, software, and systems. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Good understanding of testing and troubleshooting methods for hardware, software, and systems. Ability to generate technical engineering products using appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools. Good proficiency in executing test approaches and documenting system verification. Good knowledge of functional, environmental, operational, and performance testing. Good problem-solving skills to isolate and document issues and defects. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow directions. Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field Responsibilities for this Position CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Ability to analyze requirements and design comprehensive test cases to validate them. Experience with test automation and tools to improve software quality and reliability. When the directions are not clear, the courage to challenge the Lead Tester to clarify the directions. Ability to learn graphical user interfaces quickly. Ability to understand basic workflows and provide feedback. Ability to document reliable, optimized Test Steps for manual execution. Understanding of basic Linux commands and/ or a working knowledge of Linux. Ability to work comfortably in Microsoft Excel. Experience automating tests with Robot Framework a plus. Experience automating Linux system configuration verification with Ansible a plus. Experience in Java software development and Nginx a plus.
