About The Position

At POWER Engineers, Member of WSP, we are seeking an Entry-Level Substation Civil/Structural Engineer to work in its Power Delivery Mountain Civil/Structural Substation Department in Billings, Montana. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of civil design for substations, including permitting, site work, structural and foundation design, and support of substation physical design and equipment layout. Occasional travel will be required.

Requirements

• A BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited university
• Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills
• Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 2.75 Grade Point Average (GPA)
• Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying
• Structural analysis design software experience is a plus
• Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering is desirable
• Engineer In Training (EIT) registrations is desired
