About The Position

Entry-Level Structural Analysis Engineer-1 Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company South Carolina is hiring for an Entry-Level position in Propulsion Structures. This role requires the execution of multiple tasks: Structural analysis using well-defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements. The Structures Stress Analysis Engineer understands airplane structural analysis methods and tools for metallic and/or composite structures. The analyst ensures the airplane has sufficient strength to endure all conditions encountered during its operational life as well as investigate field service issues. The analyst also ensures the airplane structure meets all other design requirements. Primary Responsibilities: As an Entry-Level Stress Analyst (Level 1), you will have a minimum of the following responsibilities: Develop, integrate, and document structural requirements to establish the system design. Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment. Support product design and verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Define and document certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements. Works under close supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in one of the following engineering majors: Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil, and select degrees with an emphasis in structures related course material.
  • Ability to support occasional domestic travel to support our customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Finite Element Analysis experience including the use of stress analysis tools such as, NASTRAN/PATRAN, HYPERMESH, ABAQUS, or any other stress analysis tools.
  • Experience with fatigue or durability analysis.
  • Experience with analysis of aircraft propulsion structures
