About The Position

Tectonic is currently seeking a full-time Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join our Newburgh, NY Office. This position offers the exciting opportunity for professional growth and advancement and to work closely with a diverse group of Professional Engineers! ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The essential functions of this position include working collaboratively on various telecommunications and renewable projects with engineers, construction teams, and designers to assist in the process of providing high quality deliverables to our clients. The Staff Engineer will work on the design, inspection, and coordination of all phases of site development, including new site builds, site layouts, and site modifications and upgrades on telecommunications, renewable, and industrial facilities projects, as well as perform structural analyses. Additional functions including generating required engineering reports for review, performing site visits to gather data and perform site inspections, reviewing drawings and calculations, as well as all other duties as required. Occasional overnight travel is required.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering required
  • 0 - 2 years of related experience
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Functional knowledge of AutoCAD 2020 and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Requires a valid, clean driver's license, as travel to job sites (including sites in the NYC metro area) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • MS Degree in a related field and/or EIT is a plus
