At this time, we have an opportunity for an Entry-Level Project Designer on our Day shift. Hours will be from 7 AM – 3 PM on Mondays through Fridays.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Manufacturing experience and/or SolidWorks or Inventor CAD software experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
  • Knowledge: Able to read and comprehend drawings.
  • Able to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Able to write simple correspondence and work instructions.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, percentages, and decimals.
  • Able to understand and use the metric system.
  • Able to work independently, and problem solve and communicate effectively.
  • Able to use computers.
  • Must be willing to help fellow team members with tasks that may not necessarily involve normal job duties to relieve burden on them and contribute to team goals when needed.
  • MUST BE EXTREMELY DETAIL ORIENTED & ORGANIZED.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work in a fast-paced and sometimes noisy environment.
  • Must be able to work efficiently and safely, minimizing distractions during work hours.
  • Must be able to work independently, problem solve and communicate effectively.
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule.
  • Due to the nature of some parts manufactured, must be a US Citizen.
  • Must see the end of the day as when the to-do list is done instead of what the time is on the clock.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • Manufacturing experience and/or SolidWorks or Inventor CAD software experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Create and review technical drawings to meet specifications.
  • Create job travelers.
  • Perform tolerance analysis on critical assemblies.
  • Meet with suppliers, customers, and project stakeholders to review/alter designs as needed.
  • Modify designs to correct operating and production issues.
  • Provide installation support.
  • Attend team meetings to provide progress reports, obtain updates on colleagues’ progress, strategize on steps for following week and acquire information about projected emerging product lines.
  • All other duties as assigned.
