This requisition is for roles located in Endicott, NY. Our Entry Level Programs are designed to accelerate the development and career of highly-motivated entry level candidates who aspire to achieve their technical and leadership potential. This is accomplished through challenging and rewarding rotational assignments, technical and leadership training, advanced education, leadership opportunities and exposure, and mentorship. You will be an integrated team member collaborating with System, Hardware, and Test Engineers in one or more of the phases of Project Planning, Design, Development, and Testing. These teams are dedicated to solving complex problems and developing creative technical solutions to meet customer requirements. Products are primarily safety critical embedded systems such as flight control computers, engine control computers, cabin systems, flight desk panels, as well as hybrid-drive systems for ground vehicles. BAE Systems offers a number of programs for entry level engineers. These potential placements include the Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP), Engineering Rotational Program (ERP), the VERGE Mentoring Program, and Direct Engineering positions. Each of these programs offer mentoring opportunities from experienced engineers, targeted technical training, and technical assignments. Our Entry Level Programs are three-year programs designed to develop high potential, entry-level individuals into future leaders. You'll have the opportunity to experience assignments in several operational functions, business areas, and product groups.

  • Collaborate with System, Hardware, and Test Engineers in various phases of Project Planning, Design, Development, and Testing.
  • Participate in rotational assignments across different engineering areas and disciplines.
  • Engage in networking opportunities and strategic project initiatives.
  • Pursue graduate degree on a part-time basis as encouraged or required for certain programs.
  • Receive mentorship from business and technical leaders.
  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Engineering.
  • Capacity and motivation for hard work.
  • Desire to gain a strong technical foundation.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership abilities in academic and non-academic pursuits.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Power Electronics or another related field.
  • Participation in a variety of extracurricular activities.
  • Internship/Co-Op or project experience in related field.
