Job Purpose To provide general plant clean-up and utility services and to provide relief in support of line positions under daily direction. In this position you will have the opportunity to: Consistently demonstrate that safety is the highest priority and perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations. Perform general clean-up and utility duties under daily direction from supervisor, including sweeping floors, blowing down with compressed air, shoveling, cutting/mowing lawns, picking up trash, cleaning equipment, emptying dumpsters, etc. Provide general relief in support of line positions during breaks as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Time management skills
- Knowledge of general plant clean-up and utility functions
- Knowledge of line position duties and functions
- Ability to read and understand SOPs
- Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations and recognize safety hazards (OSHA 1910)
- Excellent housekeeping practices
- Ability to safely operate forklift
- Ability to work at high elevations
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Knowledge of safe propane handling
- Self-motivated and results oriented
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to adapt to rapid change
- Good written and oral communications skills
- Team player with a high level of energy
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- 3 – 6 months experience. Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
