Entry-Level Production Utility Support
About The Position
We're looking for a dependable and motivated Entry-Level Production Helper/Utility Worker team member to assist in a variety of essential production tasks within our fabrication shop. The Production Helper / Utility Worker is needed to support our fabrication shop operations. The ideal candidate will assist in various stages of the manufacturing process, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency in day-to-day tasks. This position requires physical stamina, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions and safety protocols. This role supports higher-skilled tradespeople such as welders and fitters, contributes to material preparation, and ensures cleanliness and efficiency in key work areas. This is a physically demanding position that requires flexibility, attention to detail, and strong adherence to safety practices, especially when working in dusty or temperature-variable environments.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Basic math skills, including measurement conversions.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to shop safety protocols.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and measuring equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assist fabricators and machine operators with daily production tasks.
- Move materials and products within the shop using hand tools or material handling equipment.
- Perform general shop duties including cleaning, organizing workstations, and removing scrap.
- Support basic fabrication tasks including measuring, cutting, grinding, or deburring parts.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and work orders to support production accuracy.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Monitor equipment for proper operation and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, complying with all company safety standards.

- Schedule: 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., with potential daily overtime until 4:40 p.m., plus occasional Saturday shifts as needed.
