About The Position

Product Validation and Characterization Engineering Business Line Description With the ambition to accelerate the secure connected edge, we in Secure Connected Edge (SCE) contribute to NXP’s vision of making the connected world better, safer, more secure. Our mission is to create first of its kind products that provide our customers transformational value. We’re committed to deliver unique and fit-for-purpose solutions that satisfy the needs of security, connectivity and cognition with scalability. PL Edge Microcontroller (MCU) & Connectivity offers solutions for secure connected MCUs for the Internet of Things (IoT), application processors for auto and heavy industrial, low-power application processors and MCUs, and application processors for consumer and multimedia. Job Summary: Develop validation and characterization test plans. Perform bench validation and characterization of state of the art mixed signal analog IP such as Analog Comparators, Analog to Digital Converts (ADC), Digital to Analog Converters (DAC), DCDC Converters, Free Running Oscillators (FRO), Analog Glitch Detectors, Low Drop Out (LDO) Regulators, Operation Amplifiers, Crystal Oscillators, Phased locked Loop (PLL), Power Mode Controllers, Power Switches, Temperature Sensors, Ring Oscillators, USB PHY, USB DCD, and Voltage References in Automotive, Industrial IoT, and Consumer Microcontroller products. Develop software for automated bench validation using LabVIEW, TestStand, and/or Python in conjunction with embedded C. Collect data across process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) and perform data analysis. Generate reports to summarize test results. Perform Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to bench correlation exercises. Carry out characterization requests for R&D purposes. Participate in root cause analysis efforts. Key Challenges: Fast paced environment with multiple projects in parallel. Utilizing networking capabilities to solve problems quicker. Finding the balance between over engineering and under engineering a solution to a problem. Cross functional aspects: Requires the ability to work effectively in a cross functional team setting that includes Design (R & D), Product and Test (ATE), Systems and Applications, Marketing, and QA Engineers.
