About The Position
As a Product/Test Engineer at NXP Semiconductors, you will play a crucial role in characterizing, qualifying, and releasing products in high-volume manufacturing. This position is ideal for individuals who are naturally curious and have a passion for problem-solving. You will be involved in various business lines, including MCU/MPUs, Automotive Processors, Advanced Analog, Connectivity & Security, Edge Processing, and Operations. Your responsibilities will include participating in new product and technology core teams to define validation and characterization processes, cost structures, and test/manufacturing strategies for new products. You will coordinate and interface with diverse areas and functions both internal and external to NXP to ensure that new products are successfully launched into production. A key aspect of your role will be to ensure that products released to manufacturing meet all necessary schedule, test time, cost, and yield requirements. You will need a detailed understanding of production testing, reliability, and qualification methodologies. Additionally, you will own and drive product characterization by creating characterization plans, defining matrix lots, performing statistical data analysis, and delivering performance reports. Your role will also involve driving cost reduction and yield enhancement projects while interfacing with both internal and external factories. You will assist with customer issues and quality incidents, and help drive product/test standardization, solutions, and methodologies to improve product cycle time and cost.
