AECOM's Water Business Line is seeking a talented Entry-Level Process Mechanical / Civil Engineer to support water, wastewater treatment, flood protection, and associated projects in our Chelmsford, MA office.   • Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out engineering tasks associated with the technical design and layout of systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Exercise engineering judgment for the development of preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives in the design of pumps, piping, valves for water and wastewater treatment, including for headworks, aeration, filtration, dewatering, clarification, odor control, chemical feed, and sludge and residual handling systems.
  • Prepare engineering-related calculations, specifications, and develop drawings and visual aids.
  • Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles/sections within the Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD MEP, and Revit.
  • Work under the mentorship and supervision of a senior engineer.
  • Willingness and ability to occasionally travel to sites throughout North America.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other related field.
  • Must have a valid U.S driver's license and as a condition of employment, must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • Prior related intern and/or professional experience.
  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software.
  • Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and commercially available engineering analysis packages.
  • Coursework in hydraulics.
  • Detail-oriented while still able to understand/comply with the big picture/goals of a project.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong logic and writing skills.
  • Documents time and effort accurately.
  • Ability to work productively in a team environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
