About The Position

The Entry Level Phlebotomist position at Takeda Pharmaceutical involves collecting high-quality plasma from donors, which is essential for creating life-changing medicines. This position reports to the Plasma Center Manager and requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Experience in a customer or patient-facing role (1+ years preferred).
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs. regularly, with occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination and depth perception, with the ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a healthcare or medical environment.
• Certification in phlebotomy or related field.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Screen new and repeat donors, taking and recording vital signs and finger stick results.
• Utilize the Donor Information System to prepare donor charts and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate donor compensation and assist in operational improvements.
• Work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, to support plasma center operations.
