About the position
The Entry Level Paraprofessional position at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) involves working part-time with children with autism, implementing behavior treatment plans, and providing support in a positive and collaborative environment. This role is designed for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and their families, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Work 1:1 with children with Autism to implement evidence-based behavior treatment plans.
- Teach social, communication, and life skills to children with autism.
- Collaborate with clinical professionals to enhance treatment effectiveness.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- QMHP Certification preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds while assisting patients.
- English proficiency, both verbal and written, is required.
- US Work Authorization.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience as a Nanny, Babysitter, Preschool Teacher, or related field.
- Working towards or completed a degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Sociology, or related fields.
