Requirements

• MLO License (preferred but not required in some branches)
• High school diploma or GED
• 0-2 years' experience in mortgage loan processing or sales
• Proficient with Encompass or other mortgage loan origination systems
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to learn federal and state guidelines, rules, and regulations such as TRID.

Nice To Haves

• Current product knowledge of FHA, VA, Conventional, and other loan programs
• Experience as a Loan Processor, Jr. Processor, Loan Setup Clerk, or Loan Officer Assistant

Responsibilities

• Build rapport and leverage customer relationships with existing and potential borrowers.
• Analyze customers' financial situations and advise on appropriate loan products.
• Perform lock extensions, pipeline management, and appraisal orders.
• Excel in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and following up with multiple customers.
• Accept multiple live, qualified inbound leads daily.
• Lock loans at point of sale and request initial documents from customers.
• Submit initial, paperless loan packages to production staff.
• Collect and analyze customer documentation for submission to underwriters for pre-qualification.
• Structure and price loans accurately.
