About The Position

As an Entry Level Mechanic on the 3rd Shift at Conagra Brands, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant and production equipment. This position requires troubleshooting, removing, installing, replacing, rebuilding, repairing, and testing parts/components. You will work under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor at the Macon, MO facility. The shift runs from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and you may be required to work seven days a week and extended shift schedules.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years progressive mechanic experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Vocational tech training in machine maintenance.
• Ability to carry and push/pull up to 100 pounds.
• Read and write English for completion of production/quality documents.
• Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
• Familiarity with and ability to use basic shop equipment, electric arc welder, plasma cutter, torch, and basic hand tools.
• Electrical experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, rebuild, repair, and test parts/components on plant & production equipment.
• Keep mechanical equipment in good condition and working order.
• Inspect machines and equipment to locate problems, replace defective parts, and make necessary adjustments to ensure production operation.
• Use manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, and parts diagrams to troubleshoot plant and production equipment.
• Use hand and power tools to remove, install, replace, rebuild, repair, and test parts/equipment on plant and production equipment.
• Perform electrical and pneumatic work on production machines.
• Utilize welding, electrical, and fabrication skills as needed.
