About The Position

Amcor is currently searching for individuals to join our Russellville production plant! The packer position is responsible for the packing and wrapping of finished products, in accordance with client packing specifications. The packer is also responsible for the movement of materials within the department and for storing or staging materials in designated areas.

Requirements

• Preferably 1 year Manufacturing Experience
• Basic Computer Skills and a Mechanical Aptitude
• Able to work well with others / self-motivated
• Strong Attendance and Safety Record

Responsibilities

• Follows safe operating procedures and complies with all EHS and GPM guidelines to ensure that only the highest safety standard is maintained.
• Performs tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation, and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errors.
• Checks and inspects materials received from prior operations to verify accuracy and conformance to specifications on Work order form.
• Understands and follows basic packing instructions including: box pack, bulk pack, poly wrap.
• Creates packing documents in accordance to client requirements.
• Operates a forklift to move finished materials throughout the department area.
• Complies with sanitation guidelines and good manufacturing practices related to neatness, product cleanliness and personal hygiene.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work area, in accordance to 5S Standards, by cleaning spills and disposing of trash on a timely basis.
• Participates in on-the-job training and instruction to learn other job tasks.
• Complies with Company policies and performing other duties as assigned.
