About The Position

We are currently seeking an Entry Level Logistics Customer Service Representative. This position manages customer accounts and inquiries by scheduling shipments, tracking deliveries, coordinating with carriers, resolving issues, and providing status updates via various communication channels. Key responsibilities include ensuring timely and accurate order entry, verifying shipment details, entering data in our ERP system, and maintaining strong relationships with both customers and suppliers as well as carriers to ensure smooth supply chain operations. Hours: M-F 7:00am -4:00pm

  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with customer service software and logistics management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Customer/Supplier Communication: Respond to phone, email, and other inquiries from customers, and suppliers providing information on bookings, and shipment status.
  • Order Management: Schedule customer orders, verify the accuracy of freight details, and accurately enter all data into the system.
  • Shipment Coordination: Coordinate with Sales associates, Carriers, Customers/Suppliers and Plant Management to book and schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Tracking and Monitoring: Track shipments, monitor key milestones in transit, and provide regular updates to customers.
  • Problem-Solving: Investigate and resolve any customer/supplier concerns, issues, and shipping errors promptly and efficiently.
  • Documentation: Prepare and manage necessary shipping documents, such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, receiving inventory, data entry in ERP and other import/export paperwork.
  • Reporting: Generate and provide reports to management, such as Inventory On Hand Reports, Traffic Reports, and Loading Reports.
  • Account Management: Manage existing plant and brokerage accounts, maintaining strong relationships and meeting their shipping needs.
