About The Position

This is a large-scale data center project requiring significant numbers of skilled technicians. The project involves pulling cable and porting within data centers, primarily fiber, with a focus on installation, testing, and troubleshooting (OTDR Fluke), but not fiber splicing. Vision Technologies seeks experienced, self-starting, critical-thinking, safety-conscious team players who are mechanically inclined and proactive. The ideal team breakdown is one lead/foreman-level person (proficient in testing, troubleshooting, cut sheets) for every four technicians. The work is in Northern Virginia (Ashburn, Sterling, Chantilly, Manassas) with an initial request for 2-4 teams of five, potentially scaling up to 500+ technicians across multiple projects for hyperscaler clients (Microsoft, Oracle, Google, Amazon). The project, initially planned for Mid April, has been delayed to late April due to site readiness issues and material delays.

Responsibilities

• Pull and route fiber throughout the data center
• Assemble, stack, and drill racks
• Scan, label and port equipment
• Support general installation tasks as directed by experienced technicians
• Pull and route fiber, testing/troubleshooting, fluke/OTDR
• Work delegation, planning, execution
