About The Position

We are seeking a Laser Programmer / CNC Press Brake Programmer to support daily production in a sheet metal fabrication environment. This role focuses on creating and adjusting programs for laser cutting and press brake equipment to ensure parts are produced accurately and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on CNC programming experience who is looking to grow their skills, work with modern equipment, and be part of a collaborative manufacturing team.

Requirements

• Experience with CNC laser programming and/or CNC press brake programming
• Ability to read blueprints and basic CAD drawings
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication concepts
• Experience with programming software such as TruTops, BySoft, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of CNC programming experience
• Exposure to Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada, or similar equipment
• Experience with nesting software
• Basic understanding of bend allowances and material types
• Manufacturing or fabrication shop experience

Responsibilities

• Create and modify CNC programs for laser cutting and press brake machines
• Read and interpret prints, drawings, and work orders
• Assist with part nesting to improve material usage and reduce scrap
• Select basic tooling and bend sequences with support from leads or engineering
• Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve part or setup issues
• Support machine setup and troubleshooting as needed
• Verify first-piece quality and make adjustments when required
• Maintain organized program files and basic documentation
• Follow all safety, quality, and shop procedures
