About The Position

Dewberry is currently seeking an Entry Level Landscape Architect to join our landscape architecture department in our Raleigh, NC office. Our studio is highly collaborative and operates in a multidisciplinary environment to execute comprehensive projects across the United States. Our projects span multiple market segments such as Resiliency, Parks and Recreation, Greenways, K-12, and Corporate Campus Design. Our team is frequently responsible for all aspects of site design including: grading, drainage, planting plans, amenity plans (hardscape + landscape), custom detailing, rendering and permitting. Requirements

  • BS/BLA Degree in Landscape Architecture is required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred), Land F/X, and Microsoft office is required.
  • Experience with Photoshop, Adobe Suite, Sketchup, Rhino, D5 Render, and GIS/ArcView.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to self check work.
  • Proactive thinking skills.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills.
  • Previous internship experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Project Managers and Deputy Project Managers on a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Grading and Drainage Design
  • Site Design and Amenity Design
  • Planting Plans
  • Lighting Plans
  • Greenway Design
  • Construction Documents
  • Renderings
  • Project Manual Development
  • Erosion control plans and reports
  • Site Feasibility Studies
  • Estimates of Probable Cost
  • Construction Administration Visits and Reports
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop design solutions.
  • Assist with research efforts and career fairs
