About The Position

KBR’s Missile, Aviation, and Ground Systems (MAGS) division delivers mission engineering solutions for critical U.S. Army programs, specializing in aviation and ground systems, integrated air and missile defense, and threat and target systems. As a trusted partner of the U.S. Department of War, MAGS provides innovative, technology-driven solutions to enhance national security. Serves as an Army Fires (field artillery and air and missile defense) Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Developer as a member of an Analysis Team providing support to the Center for Army Analysis (CAA) on Fort Belvoir.

Requirements

  • BS degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Math, Engineering) requiring substantial programming/coding experience and 0-3 years of work experience required.
  • Functional application/ some proficiency with programming languages (C++, Python, etc.).
  • Proficiency in C/C++ or Python.
  • A SECRET security clearance/ ability to obtain a SECRET clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with developing on Linux.
  • Familiarity with AFSIM
  • Familiarity with Army systems/ Army Fires systems

Responsibilities

  • Fires M&S Developer designs and conducts Army Fires analysis using the modeling and simulation tools such as the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) in support of the Army’s Total Army Analysis (TAA) and other applications.
  • Developer designs and scripts AFSIM scenarios in support of analytic requirements.
  • Deliverables include AFSIM scripts and scripts in support of automation and file management (C++, bash, Python, etc.).
