About The Position

EDC Consulting is seeking a Journeyman Application Developer to assist with the design, development, and engineering of software solutions. The position is based on-site in Dayton, Ohio, and requires a US citizen with an active Secret clearance. The developer will work primarily with SQL stored queries, procedures, functions, views, triggers, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Java for web development. Responsibilities include supporting development efforts, communicating weekly status reports, providing demonstrations of code, and contributing to team efforts. The role involves a significant focus on Java development (75%), software design (15%), and unit and integration testing (10%).

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Java and unit and integration testing of code.
• Experience with SVN, Git, JIRA, Confluence, API calls, Ant, and Maven in FedGov enterprise software/systems.
• Must be available for 100% on-site work Monday through Friday, with possible weekends and holidays.
• BS/BA in STEM or related fields.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, development, and engineering of software solutions using SQL, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and Java.
• Support development and communicate weekly status reports.
• Assist in providing demonstrations of code.
• Contribute to other team efforts as required.
• Assist in the development of production Software Development Plans (SDP), Preliminary Design (PD), and Software Design Documents.
