About The Position

LHB has an immediate opportunity for an Entry-Level Interior Designer to join their Government Studio, with the possibility of working in other markets. This hybrid position will be based in their Duluth office, where a supervisor will provide mentorship and guidance to support career growth. As part of the Integrative Design Team, the role offers opportunities to collaborate with in-house design and engineering disciplines, supporting LHB's goal of being a leader in creating regenerative communities. The Integrative Design Team consists of professionals passionate about and committed to collaborating with a wide variety of clients in creating sites, spaces, and facilities through innovative and environmentally sensitive design. This full-time position provides an opportunity to utilize technical, design, and graphic skills on interesting projects for a diverse group of clients. LHB, founded in Duluth in 1966, is a multidisciplinary architecture, engineering, and planning firm that delivers integrated, creative, and high-performance design solutions for buildings, sites, and infrastructure. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, working towards registration as a Certified Interior Designer
  • 1+ years of experience as an Interior Designer
  • Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations

Responsibilities

  • Prepare documents and presentation materials
  • Produce plans/working drawings, for Construction Documents
  • Prepare, gather and verify product information for specification
  • Assist in selection of interior finish materials and furniture
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and team members on design tasks
  • Produce documents for furniture plans
  • Assist in LEED and B3 documentation
  • Assist with maintaining materials library, resources, and associated meetings
