About The Position
The Direct Sales Agent Trainee Specialist at National General is an entry-level position designed for individuals looking to gain industry experience in sales and customer support while preparing to become a Licensed Insurance Sales Agent. This role involves a combination of classroom learning and hands-on training, focusing on obtaining State Property/Casualty and Life and Health Licenses. The trainee will work closely under the guidance of an experienced Agent or Lead Sales Agent, assisting with various customer service and marketing activities to support the sales process and enhance the company's presence in the local market. In this role, the trainee will be responsible for engaging with customers, providing information about insurance products, and completing marketing activities that promote the company's brand. This includes making outbound marketing calls, visiting car dealerships, participating in local events, and distributing promotional materials. The trainee will also handle general customer inquiries, process payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate records of transactions. Additionally, the position requires the trainee to stay updated on company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and effective communication with customers and team members. The Direct Sales Agent Trainee Specialist is expected to pass the Property and Casualty license certification within the first 90 days of employment.
