About The Position

New college grads are encouraged to apply for a full-time Investigator / Case Worker position with Liberty Healthcare and the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services Adult Protective Services Program. This mission of this program is to investigate reports of need, and if substantiated, mitigate or eliminate imminent risk of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or abandonment for adults who are living with disabilities. As Investigator / Case Worker, your role will focus on ensuring the wellbeing of others. Your day-to-day work will involve traveling throughout the region, conducting investigations in residences, determining if reports are substantiated, documenting findings, developing plans, and managing active cases. This is challenging work that comes with a high degree of autonomy. You can expect a flexible work schedule which will include occasional evening hours. Starting pay is approximately $47,000 per year, which is paid $22.60 per hour. Regular opportunities are available to earn additional income by working optional overtime and taking on additional cases. You will earn 30 days of paid time off annually which you may use for holidays, vacation, personal time, and sick leave. Other benefits are also offered. Adult protective services training is provided to new hires. This is an outstanding opportunity to gain valuable human services skills and resume-building professional experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Education, Criminal Justice, Special Education, or related field
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally
  • Own vehicle for travel
  • Internships or experience in healthcare or human services (helpful but not required)
