About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking an Entry Level Guidance Engineer (Control Systems Analysis & Design) in Ogden, Utah. Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• Experience or coursework using Matlab/Simulink, MatrixX, or an equivalent tool
• Experience or coursework in computer programming in C, C#, C++, Ada or other common programming languages

Nice To Haves

• Experience in guidance navigation and controls or aerospace engineering
• Experience with simulation and / or system/component modeling
• Experience with Kalman Filter design, estimation techniques
• Experience with implementing algorithms in real time systems
• Experience with autocoding of software

Responsibilities

• Supports the gathering of system level requirements
• Performs and documents analysis of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) systems to validate or assess the system design or models
• Assists troubleshooting of routing operational anomalies, functional tests and services incidents
• Supports execution tests, analysis and design review per FAA, MIL-SPEC and NASA guidance to deliver a compliant product
• Works under close supervision
• Interacts primarily with immediate supervisor and other personnel within the group
• Supports upgrading field assessment tools using data analytic methods
