CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our Environmental Team in Albany, NY, where you will play a key role in advancing site investigation, remediation, and geotechnical engineering projects. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field required
  • No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred
  • Strong theoretical knowledge in engineering field
  • Familiarity with geotechnical engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team

Nice To Haves

  • Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for site investigation, remediation, and geotechnical engineering projects
  • Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates
  • Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for optimizing site safety, stability, and sustainability
  • Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment, planning, and rehabilitation of environmental and geotechnical infrastructure such as groundwater monitoring and landfill investigations
