About The Position

The Olen Corp is seeking a full time Field Welder working on various pieces of mobile heavy equipment and fixed assets while maintaining our elite fleet of equipment. Travel to various job sites in our region with the ability to work with or without close supervision. Opportunities for continued growth with safety first mindset and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Welding experience
  • Valid driver license
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to schedule your own daily, and weekly work and jobs.
  • Flexible hours, Willing to work 50-60 hours a week and Saturdays during peak season.
  • Willing to work outside in hot and cold weather
  • Strong mechanical skills are needed to do repairs and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Knowledge of metallurgy, thermal dynamics and different types of metals
  • Strong attention to detail for precision work and quality control
  • Strong work ethic
  • Proficient with various welding techniques
  • Customer service
  • Job site and vehicle housekeeping
  • Required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Driver’s license with clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Training and certification to weld.
  • Experience with drawing, TIG Weld, C, 3G, GTAW, FCAW, and MIG Welding processes.
  • Demonstrated dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Will strive for continuous improvement on the job.
  • A critical thinker with a demonstrated sound work ethic.
  • Preferred one-year related experience and/or training with welding experience.
  • Welding certifications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Clean work area and restock supplies and materials, as necessary.
  • Assist in installation or assemblies in shop or field
  • Layout and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies.
  • Align components using calipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces.
  • Analyze all welds to ensure they are free of porosity and discontinuities.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Operate laser welding equipment to fabricate and assemble materials based on job specifications.
  • Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair mobile and fixed assets.
  • Uphold policies and procedures to guarantee compliance with company and expectations.
  • Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, support, and related equipment, following blueprints.
  • Identify and tag material with written symbol for assembly and inspection.
  • Perform job site housekeeping duties
