Entry-Level Field Geologist

About the position

As a Field Geologist, you will independently oversee subsurface exploration including drilling operations, soil/rock sampling, identification, field logging, geophysical testing, and geotechnical materials testing on a variety of projects primarily centered around renewable energy (wind and solar). You will travel to various job sites both in state and across the country and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee subsurface exploration including drilling operations.
• Conduct soil/rock sampling and identification.
• Perform field logging and geophysical testing.
• Conduct geotechnical materials testing on various projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Geology or Geotechnical Engineering required.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving history.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to travel 75% or more.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
