AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Los Angeles, California October 29-30. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026. The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You'll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines. On Thursday, interviews will take place at either our Los Angeles or Orange office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities. If you're a college student majoring in a field indicated below and graduating in December 2025 or Spring 2026, we'd love to hear from you! AECOM is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Environmental Engineer to join our growing Water/Wastewater group. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience addressing complex environmental challenges in the planning, design, and implementation of sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure projects with ENR's #1 ranked water engineering firm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering (with environmental emphasis), or a related field; or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or collegiate project experience in water/wastewater treatment, environmental compliance, or related design work.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations, sustainability practices, and/or water quality analysis tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and analysis of water and wastewater treatment processes, distribution, and collection systems.
  • Support environmental studies, permitting, and regulatory compliance for water quality and resource management projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, environmental documentation, and engineering drawings under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Conduct sampling, data analysis, and modeling to support water quality and environmental assessments.
  • Participate in fieldwork, including site visits, condition assessments, and construction observation.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and CAD/BIM designers to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions.
  • Stay current with industry standards, codes, and best practices in environmental and water/wastewater engineering.
