Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science or related field.
  • Coursework, internships or professional work experience related to environmental assessment methods, due diligence processes, regulatory permitting, and environmental compliance.
  • Good business and technical writing skills.
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to collaborate within a team.
  • An Engineer in training (EIT) or Geologist in training (GIT) license or on track to obtain is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with environmental assessments and conduct site investigations.
  • Collect data to aid clients in adhering to environmental regulations and mitigating environmental impacts.
  • Perform field surveys and sampling (air, water, soil).
  • Analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports.
  • Support permitting and compliance initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of solutions for environmental challenges across various sectors.
  • Conduct soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling at sites.
  • Perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
  • Conduct asbestos and hazardous building materials sampling according to EPA AHERA guidelines.
  • Inspect regulated areas and ensure compliance with federal, state, and site-specific permit requirements.
  • Document field observations and maintain strict safety protocols.
  • Analyze laboratory results from field samples and interpret data.
  • Write technical reports that include maps, diagrams, and detailed findings.
  • Develop and review project plans and manage documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Communicate with regulatory agencies, clients, and team members.
