Tetra Tech is adding an entry level engineer or scientist with interest in environmental compliance. This role will be based in our Orlando, FL or Charleston, SC office. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical or Geological Engineering; experience in a civil or environmental engineering role preferred.
• F.E. (Fundamentals of Engineering) Completion required.
• Experience in landfill design, permitting or environmental monitoring a plus; knowledge of environmental regulations a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid organizational and time management skills.
• Self-disciplined/motivated individual who also works well in a team environment.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Unwavering personal integrity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plans and specifications.
• Perform engineering design calculations.
• Analyze reports, maps, drawings, environmental data, and aerial photographs.
• Prepare environmental monitoring plans.
• Draft construction plans using AutoCAD and CIVIL 3D.
• Prepare construction cost estimations.
• Collect and/or review environmental monitoring data (air, gas, stormwater, groundwater).
• Prepare environmental reports.
• Oversee construction projects to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications and construction and safety standards.
