About The Position

AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in New York, New York October 15-17. This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026. The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm, where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You'll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines. On Thursday and Friday, interviews will take place at our New York office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities. AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Aviation Specialist to be based in Piscataway, NJ. This position is expected to begin Spring/Summer 2026.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Construction Management or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Nice To Haves

• Drafting/CAD applications (MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Building analytic and design skills.
• Conducting aviation design under the supervision of a market sector leader.
• Creating designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of the Department Manager.
• Collecting and analyzing data under the supervision of the Department Manager.
• Using computer software as a tool for solving basic design problems.
• Performing work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
• Assist in tracking financials for projects and pursuits under the supervision of market sector leader.
• Demonstrates full use and application of standard sales and business development principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
• Follows established procedures, applies sound professional judgment, and approaches problems with a variety of solutions.
• Preparing proposals and presentations and participating in pre-sales activities under the supervision of market sector leader.
