Arcadis is seeking talented entry level engineers to join our team in various roles, including Water/Wastewater, Structural, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering, as part of the Resilience Water line of our business supporting projects with Westchester County. At Arcadis, you will engage in designing and implementing innovative solutions that tackle critical challenges in your field, from improving water quality and infrastructure resilience to creating sustainable systems that enhance the communities we serve. Collaborating with a team of experienced professionals, you will interact directly with clients, enhance your technical capabilities, and contribute to projects that positively impact the environment and quality of life, supporting our world-class engineers and high-profile projects. We are specifically seeking candidates who are from Westchester County or are willing to relocate, and who are looking to build a long-term career in the area.

  • Evaluate, plan, design, and manage water and wastewater projects, including pipelines, treatment, and pumping facilities.
  • Exercise judgment on intricate details and make preliminary engineering selections.
  • Participate in fieldwork such as site visits, construction inspections, and water quality analysis.
  • Support professional engineering services during the construction phase by observing construction, reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and ensuring permit closeouts.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and contractors.
  • Support asset management projects through data analytics and assessments.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and cost estimates while participating in client meetings.
  • Conduct structural investigations and planning work.
  • Collaborate with diverse engineering disciplines and manage project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with Arcadis standards.
  • Create construction-ready drawing packages with inter-discipline coordination.
  • Assist Senior Electrical Engineers on large projects and participate in design efforts for smaller ones.
  • Conduct field inspections, review submittals, and ensure safety compliance.
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • EIT or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
  • Prior work or internship experience in engineering consulting.
  • Knowledge/experience with MathCAD, AutoCAD, Revit.
  • Experience with water/wastewater facility and/or heavy industrial structural analysis and design.
  • Design experience producing IFC drawings for industrial & manufacturing facilities.
  • Awareness and/or knowledge of local, national and/or international building codes, including but not limited to, IBC, National Electrical Code, etc.
