We are seeking a Transportation Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to join our growing team supporting roadway and transportation projects for state and local clients. About the Role As a Transportation Engineer at STV, you’ll work alongside industry-leading professionals on projects that include roadway design, multimodal improvements, traffic operations, and infrastructure modernization. This position offers hands-on technical work, mentorship from senior engineers, and opportunities for professional growth across all stages of project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (required).
  • 2–5 years of experience in roadway/highway or transportation engineering.
  • E.I.T. certification (required);
  • Experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar design software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • P.E. license or progress toward licensure preferred.
  • Familiarity with GDOT, DOT, or municipal design standards is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take initiative on technical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and development of roadway and highway infrastructure projects for municipal, state, and DOT clients.
  • Prepare design plans, technical drawings, and specifications using MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D .
  • Assist with cost estimates, quantity calculations, drainage design, and traffic control layouts.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, structural, and environmental engineers.
  • Participate in field reviews, site assessments, and data collection efforts as needed.
  • Ensure design deliverables meet client standards, budgets, and schedule requirements.
  • Contribute to reports, presentations, and project documentation supporting design submittals.
