Requirements

  • Education: BS in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Registration: Engineer Intern (EI)
  • Experience: No prior experience required; 1-year student internship or a master's degree preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Esri ArcGIS, stormwater modeling software, or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
  • Other: Valid driver's license with acceptable MVR.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience: No prior experience required; 1-year student internship or a master's degree preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Esri ArcGIS, stormwater modeling software, or AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design of landfill cells, closures, and leachate collection, treatment, and disposal systems.
  • Support the development of gas collection systems, groundwater monitoring networks, and stormwater controls for solid waste facilities.
  • Participate in permitting efforts, master planning, and financial analyses such as cost estimating and rate studies.
  • Prepare drawings, technical reports, and permit applications under the guidance of experienced engineers.
  • Contribute to project modeling, data analysis, and field reviews to ensure practical, regulatory-compliant solutions.
  • Support quality control efforts, ensuring all deliverables meet company, industry, and client standards.
  • Communicate project progress to supervisors and meet deadlines for assigned tasks.
